Auckland is the largest city and important part of New Zealand, although Wellington, which is smaller, is the capital. It is in the North Island in the region of Auckland. The first human settlements were in 1350. The Auckland region is located in an isthmus, and it has numerous bays and several ports, engines of its economy.

The city of Auckland is between volcanoes, which added 48. These volcanoes gave rise to the isthmus, some 50,000 years ago. The temperature is lukewarm, with average temperature of 23 degrees centigrade in January and February (summer) and 13 degrees in July. For these reasons and their culture, services and stability is regarded as one of the best cities around the world to live.

Tourist Attractions and places of interest:

Botanical Garden. The largest garden of Auckland, with 10,000 plants on display.
