In the city of Lier, north of Belgium, near the border with the Netherlands found the Tower Zimmer, the monument also known as the Tower Cornelius which was built as part of the fortifications of the century 14.

Converted into a symbol of the city, was converted into the tourist attraction that is now by the astronomer and watchmaker Louis Zimmer, when in 1930 build the clock centennial, or Jubilee.
