The Park de La Villette

Located in the XIXe arrondissement of Paris (France), the Park de La Villette (in French Park de la Villette) is the biggest park of the French capital (55 hectares) and the second largest green space in the capital (after the Père-Lachaise).
The realization of architectural park ran in charge of Bernard Tschumi, in 1982. Occupies the place of old slaughterhouse and cattle market in the city.
The park is punctuated by a frame of red buildings called ‘Follies’, which put a note of color to the park and offer numerous services, such as child care, cafeteria, workshops… The canal de l’Ourcq divides the park in two, and to connect both sides of the park, there are two pedestrian walkways.
